Lit Fox Books has an ideal first-step into the Social-Media design world. We're looking for a creatively passionate Social Media designer who can help continue to brand and emphasize our thriving Indie press.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Self-generated initiative, to work closely with Managing Editor or Editor-in-Chief on Social Media projects, ideally by conceptualizing and understanding 'what we need' and after laying out a plan, implement it across our social media platforms (primarily IG and Facebook - with a view to cross-posting and growing this reach).
- A non-criminal-history-background because if it works out; we'd like to expand the role to you posting directly into our Social Media sites, which requires a level of trust and honesty.
- Whilst direct publishing experience isn't necessary, a basic knowledge of small-press-publishing is an advantage because it shows you are invested in the industry.
What you will gain:
- Invaluable experience working with the Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor on exciting Lit Fox projects.
- Being part of a team and growing your knowledge of the publishing world and honing your Social Media skills.
- We will support and encourage the right applicant, to grow their abilities as a designer.
What we specifically need:
- A few hours a week (online) maximum.
- Good communication skills are essential to ensure a smooth transition from project-to-project.
- High fluency in English with strong writing skills. Creating 'campaigns' on Social Media for Lit Fox requires creativity and the ability to write. We'd like to see you bring us exciting and relevant ideas to grow our Social Media presence and highlight our authors work(s). Campaigns may include: Author Highlights. Author Q&A's, New Book Releases. Submission Calls. Awards. Anthology Calls.
- Ability to create eye-catching, modern, interesting posts both static and video, for the purpose of marketing and highlighting Lit Fox Books.
- Reliability and honesty.
Final details:
If you love designing Social Media posts. If people tell you that you have a great eye for design. If you are aware of the kinds of Social Media posts that gain attention and have that flare for putting together interesting posts that keep the company being noticed, then we are interested in meeting you.
Whilst this is a voluntary, non-paid position, it is with a highly respected small publisher which can be an ideal career launch into Graphic Design, Media Design, Social Media Design and Publishing. Ideal for a young first-time-job or for people putting their feet back into the work-force. We are a friendly, communicative company who appreciate hard work and a creative mind.
