Lit Fox Books has recently established Austin Poetry Review, a review site for poetry collections.
We are seeking reviews of poetry collections published within the past three years as well as forthcoming poetry collections. We are currently offering $25 per accepted review.
Guidelines:
- Ideally, reviews will be 500-2000 words, although we are happy to consider reviews outside this range.
- Please include at least two quotations from the collection.
- Please do not merely summarize the collection.
- Reviews previously published on your social media or website are acceptable.
Austin Poetry Review is seeking a volunteer Poetic Discourse Editor.
We believe in the power of poetic discourse to shape culture, challenge norms, and spark connection.
Role:
Assemble a few questions each month in order to generate discussion on the following:
- The craft of poetry
- Poetry trends and influences
- Publishing
- Behind-the-scenes looks at poetry journals and presses
These questions will be answered by poets, editors, and anyone else in the poetry world. Each month, their answers will be curated and published on our website and shared on our social media.
